You are sitting on more than you think

Most fundraising teams have the data to answer their hardest questions and no realistic way to get at it. Working out what is in there is part of how we work, not a separate thing we sell you.

How it reaches you

Three shapes, depending on what you need

Some of this is running already on everything we deliver. Some is a single piece of work. Some is a rhythm you settle into.

Embedded

Already running, on everything

Every campaign we deliver is measured as it runs. Conversion, drop-off, segment performance and channel effectiveness are tracked and reported continuously, not assembled into a report at the end if somebody remembers to ask. This is not an option you select. It is how the products work.

Project

A proper read of where you are

Send us your data and your files, in whatever shape they are in. We do the matching across constituents, the extraction and the reformatting, and come back with what is actually there: the segments that matter, the opportunities you are sitting on, and the things that are not working. One piece of work, one set of conclusions you can act on.

Continuous

Every month, what changed

A fresh extract on a regular cycle. We tell you what is new, what has moved, who has lapsed, which segments are growing and which are quietly shrinking. The value is not the first report; it is the fourth, when you can see direction of travel rather than a snapshot.

The loop

You send it, we make sense of it

1

Send us what you have

Exports, spreadsheets, files from three different systems that do not agree with each other. It does not need tidying first. The mess is the normal starting position and handling it is the job.

2

We do the hard part

Matching across constituents, resolving duplicates, extracting from formats that were never designed to be analysed, and reformatting until it is something that can actually be questioned.

3

You get conclusions

Not a dashboard to interpret yourself. The segments worth acting on, the opportunities that are there, and what we would do about them. Once, or every month with what has changed.

What that involves

The work behind the answers

Segmentation

Segments built from behaviour rather than from the categories your database happened to arrive with. Who responds to what, and which groups are worth treating differently.

Prospect identification

Finding the people whose own giving pattern says there is more there, including the ones a wealth screen will never surface because the signal is behavioural rather than financial.

Propensity and predictive modelling

Calibrated models scored across your pool, so a list of names comes with a probability attached and you can tell the difference between a good guess and a good bet.

Behavioural modelling and forecasting

What a cohort is likely to do next, with confidence ranges rather than a single number, so a plan can be built on a range you can defend.

Live insight

Campaign performance while the campaign is still running, which is the only point at which knowing is any use.

Data preparation

The unglamorous half: matching constituents across sources, resolving duplicates, extracting from files that were never meant to be read by a machine, and reformatting it into something that can be analysed at all.

Where Iris fits

Two ways to get to the same data

Iris is our intelligence layer. You ask it questions in plain English and it answers them, with provenance and an audit trail, whenever you want to ask.

This is the other route to the same place. You want someone to do the work and hand you the conclusions, rather than to run the queries yourself. Teams use both: Iris for the questions that come up day to day, and us for the periodic read that nobody has the time to sit down and do.

If you are not sure which you want, it is usually the second one first.
