ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Soon after the effects of the pandemic were realised, the team at the University of Oxford quickly responded to the needs of patients, medical teams, the UK government and the public through its world-leading research. The present urgency means that rapid philanthropic support would enable the University to accelerate this time-critical research now, to ensure that Oxford’s solution will be as effective and swift as possible.
The University, therefore, quickly launched an appeal for support. The response to the campaign has been astounding with over £2 million already raised, including over £50,000 from individuals - helping to ensure that research demands can be met as clinical trials begin and ventilator prototypes are developed.
In this exclusive webinar we hear from the team at the University of Oxford leading the institution's Coronavirus Research Appeal. In this 1-hour webinar, we take a behind the scenes look at the circumstances that enabled the team to take such swift action, how the campaign has evolved since its launch and what steps the team are taking to engage alumni and other supporters in this life-saving campaign.
For this Q&A we'll be joined by the following team members from the University of Oxford:
Christian Propper: Head of Development - Marketing and Insights
Claire Grainger: Senior Marketing Executive
Liz McCarthy: Head of Campaigns and Digital Communications, Public Affairs Directorate
Helen Cox: Project Officer, Medical Sciences Division
